LDEK
LDEK
The LDEK exam is a national, standardized examination administered by the Center for Medical Examinations (CEM - Centrum Egzaminów Medycznych) in Poland. Its primary purpose is to assess the comprehensive knowledge and practical skills acquired by dental graduates, ensuring they meet the required professional standards for practicing dentistry in Poland.
Just like its medical counterpart, the LEK, passing the LDEK is a non-negotiable requirement for dental graduates to apply for and receive their professional license to practice. It also facilitates the recognition of Polish dental degrees in other EU countries and the UK after completing a postgraduate internship
LDEK EXAM
By the requirements of Directive 2013/55/EU, the license to practice in Poland can be issued after passing the license exam LDEK and completing a post-graduate internship (in Polish: staż podyplomowy). The LDEK exams are available in Polish and English language versions.
