IMPORTANT!

 

Students of the Advanced MD program are obliged to do 2 clerkships, 140 hours each (280 hrs total), after year 3 and 4.

 

Students of the MD program are obliged to do 5 clerkships, 120 hours each (600 hrs total), after years 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5

 

The originals of all summer clerkship confirmations should be submitted to the Dean's office upon their completion. Students who do not submit the correct form after a given year by 20th of September will not be promoted to a higher year.

Regulations for Summer Clerkships for English Division Medical Students

Participation in the summer clerkship is subject to compliance with the provisions set out below:

  • Students are required to contact the Summer Clerkship Coordinator between 1 April and 15 May in order to register for the summer clerkship. 
  • Applications must be submitted via email only, using the official university email accounts (umlub accounts). Emails sent from non-university or private email addresses will not be answered. 
  • Organising of groups of 5 or 6 is recommended.
  • Aplications must include the student’s full name, the index numer, and the scope of the summer clerkship e.g. clearkship after 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th year of studies. Emails without a clear information may be disregarded.
  • In case of resignation from the summer clerkship, the student is obliged to inform the Summer Clerkship Coordinator at least 14 days before the scheduled start date of the clerkship. Failure to inform the Coordinator of resignation and not appearing at the summer clerkship on the date will result in the loss of the possibility to participate in the future summer clerkship organized by the University.
